They filled in as attendants, drove trucks, fixed planes, and performed administrative work. Some were executed in battle or caught as detainees of war.Instead, as in different countries, around 350,000 ladies filled in as formally dressed helpers in non-battle parts in the U.S. military. These jobs included: organization, medical attendants, transporters, mechanics, circuit repairmen, and helper pilots.
