For this assignment, you will read an article on amending the US Constitution. Then you will complete a
worksheet to explain the “recipe” for creating an amendment, including identifying key people and other
“ingredients” necessary to change the Constitution.
Background Information
The US Constitution is a “living” document, which means that from time to time changes are added in the
form of amendments. Amendments have led to a variety of new laws, including ending the practice of
slavery, granting women the right to vote, and creating term limits for the presidency. Ratifying an
amendment is a detailed process that includes a number of key groups and involves several steps.
Assignment Instructions
For this project, you are expected to submit:
1. A worksheet that explains the “recipe” for creating a constitutional amendment
