The refugees flee/fled to many countries but the most notable ones are Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. The war is regarding the awful conditions that are in Syria, and there was also some outside pressure from neighboring countries to get Syria to get its act together. (there are more reasons but these are the ones that come to mind immediately)

the united states government opted for moving the sioux to a new reservation. siting bull, leader of the lakota sioux, protested the united states government's demands for the lands where the lieutenant custer's soldiers found the gold. but finally they left the reservation lands and went to a camp along the little bighorn river in 1876.
