In four to five sentences, describe the impact education had on the people of the Middle Ages?

-Most of the education available was through the Catholic Church
-only boys in the upper class and wealthy were allowed education
-poor farm works (often called serfs) were not allowed to be educated and could not afford it, so they remained workers.
-This created a huge separation between the upper class and the poor workers
-girls were rarely allowed to be educated. They were trained to be wives and mothers.

African americans at the time just came out of slavery and needed money to provide for there families. so they joined for the money mainly.
