Did Jacksonian Democracy actually promote democracy?
Why or why not?

Yes, he was inspired to give equality because of those who settled in the south and west. He also gave the right to vote in eastern states to men without property. Back in time only males who had property were allowed to vote until Jacksonian Democracy changed that.
