How did the Han emperors gradually change the way China was ruled?

Over time, Han emperors began to change the way China was ruled. Han leaders came to believe that they could not rule people with force alone. Gradually, they incorporated Confucian ideals of moral behavior into the government. Under the Han, China enjoyed a golden age, a long period of stability and wealth.
