Dred Scott v. Sandford, in my opinion, is number one because it included high-power violating human rights. African Americans faced harsh and degrading treatment. Additionally, they were selected, rejected, sold, and mistreated as if they were objects or property. Additionally, the government misunderstood the Declaration of Independence's preamble, which asserts that all men are created equal and that their creator endows them with certain basic rights, among them are life, liberty, and happiness.
