What do you think of the institution of slavery as it was practiced in ancient times, particularly by the ancient Greeks and Romans? How does ancient Greek and Roman slavery compare with other kinds of slavery? Do you believe there are still people who live in slave-like conditions today?

1. When I think about the different treatment of females in so many of these ancient civilizations is that they were treated like second-class citizens. They were beneath the man always. I think that women and girls are discriminated against in society but not as much as it was back then. Women today are in the workforce, and could do almost any career a man can do if he pursued it. During the ancient civilizations they had one job and it was to take care of the babies.

2.I think the practice of slavery was in ancient times because the slaves helped the economy and get stuff done. How ancient group Roman slavery compared to other types of slavery is that they got highly educated people as slaves and they were not all black. I think there are still people who live in slave white conditions today in other countries.
