I. District Courts: it is also known as trial court. This is a court of original jurisdiction and as such it is the court where issues of fact, evidence, laws, and testimony for a litigation are first received, considered and decided.

Generally, the Supreme Court comprises of nine (9) justices (a chief justice and eight (8) associate justices). These nine (9) justices are appointed only by the president and subsequently confirmed by the senate after screening them diligently.
