He was the king of the Ancient Greek in the Kingdom of Macedon( dk if I spelled that right). He was born in ~ 356 BC in Pella Greece, and he died in 323 BC in Babylon. He took part in the throne when he was just 20 years old. It was rare when got defeated in battles. And he was a very "successful military commander".

Alexander the Great conquered an empire, that it was he basically did in his life.
