Washington was able to surprise attack the Hessian's in Trenton, New Jersey as Hessian ignored warnings of attack by the Continental Army.

George Washington, after facing several defeats decided to surprisingly attack Hessians located in Trenton, New Jersey. He planned to attack them on the eve of Christmas when they all will be engaged in the feestivities.But due to poor climatic conditions, they were behind the schedule. Though they were behind the schedule, yet they were able to attack Hessian and attain victory over the area.

Washington was able to surprisingly attack the Hessians as they were inebriated from the Christmad celebrations. The Hessians were defeated also because they ignored the warnings signalled to them.
