1. i believe the two things the veda contained are the brahmanas and samhitas.

2. hindus believe in the doctrines of samsara and karma. samsara means the continuos cycle of life and death and karma is the universal law of cause and effect.

3. the family priest played a huge role in weddings, funerals and other occaions as they performed there. they were also brahman cooks and every member of any caste level was allowed to eat their food. they were considered "holy."

4. Hindusim's important sacred poems are the mahabharata and the ramayana.
