Anyway, is it mocking the BLM situation if I were to caption one of my posts “Demi Lives Matter”? Demi is a video game character who dies in the game, and I wrote that caption without having any knowledge whatsoever of this BLM stuff going around.

it's definitely disrespectful to some extent, i also think it's sort of ignorant of you to completely refuse to acknowledge what's going on in the world rn. its the age of information and it's not that hard to expand ur knowledge on the subject
