Explanation:

According to their elementary postulates, oligarchy and democracy are opposite systems of government. The oligarchy represents the rule of the minority. Power is in the hands of those people (oligarchs) who are the richest and most influential members of society and have military power.

Democracy, on the other hand, represents the rule of the majority, the right of the people to choose who will represent them. Democracy gives citizens the right to remove their representatives in power if necessary if they are not satisfied.
