To help accomplish his goals, Hamilton came up with a five part plan: 1. Establish the country's credit worthiness--need to pay off our debts from the Revolution, including having the federal government assume some of the state debts 2. Create a National Debt-sell bonds to give rich people a stake in the nation's success 3. Create a National Bank 4. Whiskey Tax 5. Tariffs. If you were an American living at this time, do you think you would have supported Hamilton's plan ? Why or why not?
