I’ve heard a lot of people say that history isn’t important because it already happened. Well I have my own argument against that. Let’s say that you have a very successful life. You’re rich, you have a perfect family, an amazing wife/husband, a few kids, and your dream job. When you die, you’ll want to be remembered. You’ll want someone to remember who you were and what you did in life. That’s history. It may be boring sometimes, but it deserves to be remembered. I bet very few people know who the first black scientist was. Or who discovered a cure for the flu. And What the polio virus was.

History is about remembering people.
