Benefits of trade for ancient Egypt

Trade has great benefits on the economy, as well as for the import of the resources Egypt did not have (ivory, wood, oils, silver, etc.)

Trade was very important for ancient Egypt. It benefited their economy, as they could export some of their natural resources, such as grain and papyrus.

Through the means of trade, they could get many valuable imports that they did not have on their land. They imported wood from Lebanon and Syria and myrrh and oils from Punt. Nubia was one of their most important trading partners, as they imported luxurious, ivory, silver, and slaves from them.

All social classes were affected by the trade, whether they would get the chance to buy cheap goods, to sell something of their own, or to get the luxuries they could not obtain in Egypt.

the process is called revolution because it was a process of great economic-social transformations that began in england in the xviii century.

the industrial mode of production spread throughout much of the northern hemisphere throughout the xix and early xx centuries.

the effect of this revolution was the distance between the countries, with respect to economic and political power.   after all, not all industrialized at the same time, remaining in the condition of suppliers of raw materials and agricultural products to the industrialized countries.

these differences mark to this day the nations of the world that are divided between developed and developing countries. one way to measure whether a country is advanced is to assess how industrialized it is.
