The structure of the assembly line entails subdivision of assembly operations into a number of smaller tasks that are assigned to workers placed sequentially in a fixed order and product are moved by conveyor.

24 seconds after the previous assembling process started, they could start assembling another car. They didn´t need to wait until the first assembling process was finished to start the next.
