Through the use of public speaking and propaganda, Hitler forced his way up the ladder. This was during the Great Depression which was a perfect event for a fanatical leader to take power. He promised the German people that he would fix Germany from this global depression which they voted his party to win the majority of seats in Parliament and was eventually appointed chancellor in 1933 by President Paul von Hindenburg.
