Fellow Europeans were already immune to these diseases.The horses that were brought allowed the Native Americans to have better transportation to hunt. For example, for nomadic/hunting tribes, chasing after their prey became easier because they could move faster. The European Settlers were interested in harvesting sugar in the West Indies. Sugar was a plantation crop, that required slaves to work endlessly. As more and more slaves died due to the horrible conditions, more and more Native Americans were used as slaves (as well as slaves that were transported from Africa).
