William the Conqueror, also known as William the B4stard, was born in Normandy in 1028, and was the first Normand Kinf of England, he reign the biritsh empire from 1066 untill his death in 1087, he was son to Robert I the Duke of normandy who died unmarried, so he was a illegitimate son, because of this his claim to fill the place of his late father wasn´t strong enough so he had to pull some political favors in order to became the duke of normandy, soon after he would rebel against the crown and conquer England, becoming the first Normand king of England.

2) uncle tom's cabin- this famous book described the cruelty of slavery in the south during the antebellum period, causing more northerners to support abolition and southerners to resent the book as they felt it unfairly depicted southern society.

3) kansas- nebraska act- disagreements over whether or not kansas and nebraska would be free or slave states caused issues between northern and southern politicians in congress.

4) bleeding kansas- this fighting took place in kansas after congress allowed this territory to vote on whether or not they would have slavery. citizens were killed and buildings were destroyed during this fighting.
