Peasant led a tougher life than that of a knight.

Explanation:

A peasant, since birth, is bound to the owner of the land he/she is working for. Their responsibility is to farm the lands and provide necessary supplies.

Peasant have no rights when it comes to decision making and they are seen as being in the bottom part of the hierarchy pyramid.

For the knight, he gains privileges and a private estate. He is also part of the upper nobility.

Fidelity or loyalty is to be expected only of a knight, while peasants are bound to the lord/land owner.

i confess that there are several parts of this constitution which i do not at present approve, but i am not sure i shall never approve them: for having lived long, i have experienced many instances of being obliged by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions even on important subjects, which i once thought right, but found to be otherwise. it is therefore that the older i grow, the more apt i am to doubt my own judgment, and to pay more respect to the judgment of others.
