A commoner would use this since it portrays 2 wealthy looking men in nice clothes riding on a poor old man. It shows that the riches are rich since they use the poor people of society to help him climb up to the ranks. They would want to revolt to make sure that the poor can live a rich life too, not just controlled by the aristocracy.
