How did chief judge howell link the bill of rights guarantees to the declaration of independence ?

The Declaration of Independence of the United States, in its list of grievances, details the reasons why the colonists made the decision to declare themselves independent from Great Britain, based mainly on the tyranny exercised by King George and the limitations that he imposed on the freedoms of the colonists, especially the economic and civil restrictions that his government inserted.
