Airport Expansion Let's Move the Airport
The Stafford Metropolitan Airport should be moved, not expanded. Those of us who live near the airport have listened to the noise long enough. I'm 86 years old and the windows of my house
rattle each time one of the airplanes flles over. That just shows how little respect this city has for its senior citizens.
How does the city of Stafford expect senior citizens to pay for this so-called Improvement? Every time a business locates here, the city says we'll see the economic benefits. I don't see any
benefits. But my taxes sure keep increasing. I've never used the airport myself: I've never needed to use it. We have excellent commuter train service in our city, and the business travelers should use the train more often. Then they'd seethat we really don't need the airport at all. Let's Expand the Airport
The airport must be expanded to include more runways. As president of the airport's business association, I can say with confidence that the expanded alrport will benefit all of us. Flights to
major cities will increase. Business people can arrive faster. Once this happens, businesses will flock to our city.
Our citizens are modern-thinking people. Everyone's tax dollars may go up a few pennies. But we all know that progress costs. Which opinion has sting support? A.) the staffers metropolition airport should be moved, not expanded. B.)the Stanford metropolition must me moved. C.) neither argument has strong support
