To work in the other country to have a " island of property " (if you will) on the other countries territory. they also maintain peace and friendship with the two countries

              many important ancient principles in the american government came from ancient grecian and ancient roman ideas. from the greeks, we have a democracy form of government and citizenship. democracy began as an oligarchy where a few people power for the majority of the people. ancient citizenship excluded women, foreigners, and slaves. ours is reformed to include women and foreigners.  from the romans we have our republican representatives.  does this ?
