The purpose of this excerpt is to show that
For two months, Carter and his team removed each of
Tutankhamer's precious treasures one by one. They
even removed his body. Of course, this final raid was
dore in the name of science. However, after all of the
tems were scientifically studied and tested, they were
never returned to the tomb. Instead, the king's treasures
were scattered in various museums and homes
throughout the globe. Surprisingly, even though in 1922
grave robbing was still considered a horrible crime, no
one protested. What's more, no one considered King
Tuankhamer's view of the attende. For if the pharaoh's
beliets were true, Carter's remowal of Tutankhamer's
treasure di sorved the pharaoh to spend eternity as a poor
god indeed
Carter put a lot of care into the removal of the tombs

Carter's actions were similar to the actions of past
