In the 1670s and 1750s, a sweeping change transformed both the British people's public social and private family lives. The family lives of people during the 1750s were separated by two distinctions: roles for men versus roles for women, and social class. In general, men were the breadwinners who provide income for the family; on the other hand, the mothers were in charge of the household and grew more to manage. Marriage was also very closely tied to social class; women were seldom married into a lower social class. The status hierarchy or "social class" was a prominent key feature in the 18th Century.  A social impact has more value than an individual thought. Societies' role considers more than an individual personality. Somehow it was a big difference between what is happening in the society and what an individual think of.   

its main object was the establishment of "settlement houses" in poor urban areas, in which volunteer middle-class "settlement workers" would live, hoping to share knowledge and culture with, and alleviate the poverty of, their low-income neighbors.

since our new president elect donald trump is about to come into office, and since he is stating diferent signs about enforcing immigration laws, he has persuaded people into beliving that immigrants are the reason for crime & terrorism (of course thats only an example, there are many more reasons why but you probably get my idea).
