George Washington gave a parting speech to the country in 1796. In his address, Washington spoke on many social issues and the Constitution.He urged people to feel as though they were part of the country, i.e., America.   Patriotism is devotion and fighting for the nation during hard times.In Washington address, he tells citizens that America belong to all and people should protect it from other rivals.All citizens should unite together for the nation without feelings or concerns derived from discrimination.

Therefore we can conclude that Patriotism is crucial for a nation to stay united and strong.
