Do you think the leaders of the Battle at Fort Sumter were aware that their decisions would have significant impacts on the United States of America?

They probably not expected the north to react as it did they expected and easy victory thinking the north will not risk itself by sending troop and probably causing more states to secede just because they bombed an small fort.
