What was the Berlin blockade? What was the Berlin Airlift?

The berlin Blockade was one of the first huge crisis of the Cold War.  During the post World war 2, germany (the soviet union) blocked the Western Allies railway road and canal access to the sectors of Berlin under Western Control. The soviets offered to drop blockade of the Western Allies withdrew Deutsche Mark from west Berlin.

This was the first crisis of the post WWII Cold war. The Soviet Union blocked western allies from the section of Berlin under Western control. They responded with an organized airlift.
