William Sidney Porter, AKA O. Henry (1862-1910) was an American writer considered as one of the masters of the short story. O. Henry´s work is fundamentally a typical product of the time which he lived. The writer knew how to perfectly capture the flavor of his time and his circumstance. Whether it was roaming the pastures of Texas, investigating class tensions in the big city, the writer´s touch to isolate every element of society. Describing it with utmost parsimony and linguistic grace, was inimitable.
