1. Compare the beliefs and actions of both President Hoover and President Roosevelt in regard to the Great Depression. Please provide examples

Presidents Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt had very different political and economic ideologies. On the one hand, Hoover was a Republican who strongly believed in corporate freedom and non-state interference in economic and social affairs, with which the Great Depression began, seeking that it would be companies and the private sector in general that would take the nation out of the crisis. Seeing that this was not possible, he began to increase taxes and promote public works, with which the fiscal pressure on citizens increased and the economic crisis worsened.

Roosevelt, on the other hand, was a democrat who believed in liberalism as the way out of the crisis. Thus, it promoted the creation of social programs aimed at redistributing public money among the population, while promoting the inclusion of young people and the lower class in employment through the Public Works Administration, which managed public works employing these people, generating income to society and benefits for the government.

explanation: we can only guess at how our actions may be perceived in the future. doing something really big like killing lots of people, saving lots of people, affecting the lives of lots of people is a sure fire way of being remembered in historical records. we can also make a difference in the history records by being a small influence on something bigger, whether that is as a civil servant, scientist or artist.

of course you could argue that we all affect history just as tiny cogs in a   bigger machine.

if you mean how do people influence our opinions of things which have already happened, then simply by writing a book which looks at things form a different perspective and trying to convince people that this perspective is more accurate or truthful. people do it all the time i.e. richard the third was a terrible or was he? plenty would disagree, it's just that their views aren't the most widely known.n:
