The 1st amendment says Americans have the
right to peaceably assemble. This means the
Constitution guarantees the right to peacefully
demonstrate. Many of the current protests that
are going on in the U. S. right now are not
peaceful.
Do you ever think violent protests (burning and
looting businesses and homes) are justified? Or
do you think that violent protests take away
from the real message of the protests?
Write your answer to the question and make
sure to EXPLAIN your thoughts
