So, the correct/valid answer is that the Sun Belt has been significantly increasing in population because of the large amounts of  of people that are looking for a climate that is actually rather warm/sunny. Also,  a efflux  in retiring baby boomers, and also, they are actually developing a lot of opportunities relating to economics or the economy for people, thats why alot of people are coming there. The surge of populaltion increase basically started in 1960, and their population has been increasing ever since.
