What was the purpose of the Spanish Inquisition?

Option 1: to expel (kick out) all Muslim spies from the country

Option 2: to find and burn down places affected by the Plague (Black Death)

Option 3: persecuted (harassed) its people to believe in the Catholic ideas

Option 4: to reveal (to tell) and stop all church corruption and waste

I think its option 1 (srry IF its wrong)
