Why weren’t Till’s killers convicted?

Explanation:

Emmett Till was a black man. His murders, Bryant and Milam, were white. This murder happened during the time where segregation was a huge issue. Actually, this case was at the beginning of the civil rights movement. During the trial, the jury consisted of only white males. They did not convict them and they were never brought to justice.
