The streets were remarkably clean, for one thing. The trash and garbage had been swept away; dead animals—cats, dogs, birds, and pigs—had been removed. Gone, too, were the beggars and homeless children. Excerpt B: Aside from the tiny red flags stuck on houses, there was no outward sign of the fever anywhere. Which of the mayor's orders in Fever 1793 connects to the historical accounts detailed in these excerpts? ALL PERSONS SHOULD AVOID THOSE THAT ARE INFECTED. WE MUST SUPPLY A HOSPITAL FOR THE POOR.
