During the U. S. civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Black Panthers, and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee were all working toward the goal of ending racial discrimination. But "prevented" them from working together toward that goal.
