Describe the procedures followed in the land lottery

The land lottery was a program that popularized by the Government of Georgia in order to sell some part of their territories to farmers.

Typically, the land lottery is conducting through the following procedures:

- The government notify the people regarding the land lottery.

They will specify how much land is available, the location, along with the type of farmers that are eligible for the purchase

- The government created a committee to screen the potential buyers

Those who have a lot of  skills and experience in agriculture tends to be prioritized. Military Veterans also tend to be given higher priority.

-Payment and administration

The buyers finalize the purchase by giving the required payment to the government. In return, the government drawed some sort of contract as a proof of ownership

- Claims and correctional period

In this process, the buyers can make claims in case the condition of the land have some sort of problems. They can ask to be granted another land or have their money back.
