The reason was caused by Economic Hardship ( the scarcity of bread). On the other hand, the weakness of Louis XVI, who has excessive sexual affinity ran an autocratic monarchy, defective administration, extravagant expenditure, informed the political cause of the French Revolution. The other revolutions of American, Spanish and Haitian were ignited by the  general concept of Enlightenment which begets Liberation and equality.

In the context of the Atlantic Revolution on one hand, the immediate cause of the French Revolution started on a severe winter which had produced a bad harvest, the prices of  loaves of bread rose drastically. as a result of the scarcity of baking materials bakers exploited the situation and hoarded supplies. After spending long hours in long queues at the bakery, crowds of angry women stormed into the shops. The crisis gradually escalated and the king has to ordered troops to move into Paris and on 14th July, the agitated crowd stormed and destroyed the Bastille.

Succinctly put, the ideas of the French Revolution were drawn from the Enlightenment, influenced by the British political system, inspired by the American Revolution and shaped by local grievances.The best-known expression of French revolutionary ideas was the slogan “Liberty! Equality!

On the other hand, the other three revolutions of American, Haitian and Spanish were informed by the agitations enthroned by Enlightenment for liberty, equality of women and other races, abolition of slave trade, freedom of worship and for people without property and universal suffrage.
