How was Louisiana in the New South during the 1920s different from Louisiana during the Old South? African Americans immigrated north, industrialization grew, and women realized great political progress. Jim Crow laws disappeared, women made few gains, and more people migrated to large farms. African American political influence grew, agriculture business growth increased, and rural population increased. African American population increased, whites moved north, and industrial business increased.
