Why did texans revolt against the mexican government

The Texans revolted against the Mexican government for a few primary reasons:

1. the settlers were culturally American, not Mexican

2. Slavery was illegal in Mexico but some Texan settlers brought their slaves with them.

3. Economic ties with the USA and not so much with Mexico
