What feelings did some americans have torward immigrants?

Americans did not have good relation with the immigrants and did not like them coming to their country.

But they were not like by the people of the United States because with the coming of the immigrants, the job opportunities of the citizens were given to the immigrants and they also occupied the place on the land of the United States.
