When high-definition television (hdtv) was first considered a possibility in the united states, the u. s. government held a competition to select the technical standards that would be used nationwide. why would the government see an advantage to setting one standard?

High definition television also called advanced television because of the technological innovations used in its manufacturing. It has improved the quality of picture films and ensured high-quality sound and there termed as the next generation of television. The government planned to set for one standard because a new product in the market whose standard is not set could result in inferior quality. Secondly, one standard allows the states to work together and expand their commercial ties.

the ss was the main organization responsible for the genocidal murder of around six million people of european ethnic minorities, essentially jews, in the holocaust. the members of all its branches committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during the second world war (1939-1945). likewise, the ss were involved in commercial enterprises and exploited the inmates of the concentration camps as slave laborers.

the tortures and assassinations committed by the ss were the result of an ideology developed long before the armed conflict, this ideology was based on the racial supremacy of the germans over the rest.

in 1877, the nez perce war took place.

1881 - president james garfield was assassinated.

1882 - the chinese exclusion act was passed.

1883 - a decision in the civil rights cases legalized racial segregation in the united states.

1887 - the dawes act was passed.

1893 - the panic of 1893 took place. (what a creative name)

and there are probably other topics you can find if you just search up "united states timeline," or "conflicts in the 19th century for america."

then once you find a topic you like find out how it affected the people of america and what not. (sorry if this feels a bit short changed, history was and never will be one of my strong topics)
