The Great Depression of the 1930s was the largest recession in history and its causes were overproduction of goods and the expansion of unbridled credit by banks. The Great Depression caused the economic indicators to collapse. Inflation has soared, unemployment has risen at rates never seen before, and the American population has seen its income decline sharply.

Faced with the dire scenario, the US government launched the New Deal plan, which promoted a social apparatus for Americans, while promoting incentives for the economy to recover. In other words, the Great Depression, which was the result of capitalism, was resolved through improvements in the capitalist system itself, such as regulations and the fight against inequalities. There was also the strengthening of the democratic mechanisms of the state. The government acted in concert with the needs of the productive, financial, agricultural and social sectors. since most of current immigration into the u.s., both legal and illegal, is coming from latin america. it would be very difficult to imagine or rationalize a country my fellow citizens are trying desperately to flee into, would pose a threat to my prosperity or freedom. since the u.s. has a long history of intervention, but no record of permanent occupation, i would not feel oppression is the main objective.  

the largest free trade nation, along with the largest gdp in the world wanting to expand it's economic policy on us, and including us, could only be positive. the u.s. government has no interest in, or way of simply forcing american culture on us. and has no track record of it. other nations that adopted american social culture, or "americanization" did so voluntarily, mainly through the choice of allowing american businesses and u.s. citizens to come into their nations, as free operatives.

both are true, the congress does have the power to create banks, even if this power is not specifically described in the constitution, since there is nothing restricting it and there is power given to the congress to make "all laws which shall be necessary and proper". maryland was not allowed to tax a branch of the national bank operating there, and the supreme court decided that no state could. both of these topics were discussed in a decision of the mcculloch v. maryland case in 1819.
