The war of 1812 was fought between the united states and great britain. there a few causes for this war. being armed by the u. s.’s rival, mainly from weapons that were brought in from this was alarming to the united states. another cause related to the open seas. british ships were capturing americans and forcing them to serve on their ships, a practice . clearly this angered the u. s. government and american citizens.
