These two superpowers though had different ideals, politics, economies, but same interests. This resulted in conflict of interest between these two countries, and that conflict created lot of tensions that were constantly building on. As both of them were trying to gain more territory and allies, they created lot of conflicts around the world, were numerous other countries suffered because they were used as indirect battlefield of these two, like Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan. As the tensions were growing, the situation almost came on the verge of a World War II which was probably going to end up much of the world. This period was called the Cold War.
