The Jewish people responded to the Palestinians the same way, just that they had military superiority and managed to make a bigger damage to them. The country got divided, with areas where only Jewish people live, and areas where only Palestinians live. The conflicts have continued ever since, especially with the terrorist organization Hamas in charge of the Palestinians, thus having violent clashes and attacks from both sides and lot of innocent people ending up dead or injured in the process.
