Can anyone me answer this grade 9 world history question?

discussion - nonviolence

nonviolence does not just mean not doing violent acts, it is also a way of taking positive action to resist oppression or bring about change in society. the aim of non-violent conflict is to win over their mind and heart and to persuade them that your point of view is right.

describe your reaction to gandhi's use of nonviolence in india. how did he use nonviolence to eventually get india its independence in 1948? do you think that nonviolence is something that should be used more often today and/or should be seen more in history?
